According to initial reports, the cyclist is a 55-year-old man who is awake and able to speak but has head injuries. The extent of the damage is unclear.

The accident occurred on Järnvägsgatan. The driver of the car remains at the scene where the police have just arrived.

UPDATE 12:35 Cyclist was awake and able to speak when he was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment. The police will file a report on a traffic accident, which will be investigated to determine if either party is guilty of a crime or offense in connection with the accident.
