A few minutes before 22:00, police from several directions receive information about a suspected shooting that occurred in the eastern parts of Katrineholms town center. A large number of police units have been activated to investigate what happened at the scene and search for possible perpetrators. The police secure the suspected crime scene and have set up a barrier at the affected outdoor area. No injured persons have been found at this time. 
Police will now also actively work to gather as much information as possible about what happened. 

Update 22:46: Several types of expertise have been activated and are actively working on the case. The cordoned-off area will be investigated by police technicians. No one has been detained as a result of the incident. Information gathering continues through, among other things, door-to-door visits and interrogations.
