Police regional command center handled a number of cases related to Jönköping County between 22:00 and 07:00 last night.

Two arrested after truck theft
At 03:09, police were alerted about a truck that had been broken into at a rest stop in Vaggeryd. Someone had entered the vehicle and stolen large quantities of cargo, which consisted of Lego. The perpetrators then disappeared from the scene in a car. Police conducted several vehicle checks in response to the alarm – and soon found a car parked at a rest stop near E4 in Torsvik. The car being checked contained large quantities of goods that matched what was missing from the affected truck. Two men who were checked in close proximity to the car were arrested on suspicion of grand theft. The goods that were seized are estimated to be worth over 250,000 kronor. The car has been impounded. The two suspects were detained by prosecutors in the morning.

Police have also handled cases related to intoxication and conducted various routine checks on their own initiative or in response to public reports.
