Under the evening before last, three cases of fake 500-currency notes were reported in Skåne County. In two of the cases, in Trelleborg and Staffanstorp, patrols were alerted after the complainant sold their mobile phones through a digital marketplace and then discovered that the money was fake.

The third case occurred in central Malmö, where a man tried to pay with a fake 500-crown note in a store, but the payment system flagged the note as fake. A 35-year-old man can be detained, suspected of petty fraud and unauthorized handling of a fake banknote.
