Police have handled a number of 75 cases in Södermanland County between 22:00 and 07:00. No major violent crimes or incidents have come to the police's knowledge.

Arrests on the spot
22:50 Police were alerted to Brunnsta, Eskilstuna, due to a suspected ongoing burglary. On the backside of a metal recycling facility, two men were found. They were arrested and later detained as suspects for theft.

Burning cars in Nyköping

01:46 Police were alerted to an explosion at a shop on Borgaregatan in Nyköping. It turned out to be two burning parked cars. 
It is still unclear how the cars started burning and what caused the explosions that were heard.
Witnesses had noted that people had been heard in the vicinity of the location and then left the address. 
No person has been injured. In connection with the fire, a window to an apartment broke. 
Police have opened an investigation into gross public destruction. The cars will be examined by police technicians to determine what happened.
