A driver collided in the morning with an elk on county road 123, outside Lekeryd. The driver, a 60-year-old man, sustained lacerations but is otherwise not seriously injured. He was taken by ambulance for examination. The elk died at the scene and the vehicle had to be towed since the damage was extensive.
