The police were alerted that a man in his 20s had been admitted to the emergency room in Västerås with stab wounds. The police rushed to the scene and it turned out that the man had been injured in connection with a larger fight on Lögarängen.

An area on Lögarängen was cordoned off to search for clues and some items were seized.

A report of attempted murder or grievous bodily harm is being prepared. There is no one in custody in the matter.
