Emergency services, police and ambulance are alerted on Thursday evening to E4 at Knivsta when a truck begins to burn.

It turns out that the truck standing in a northerly direction is transporting hazardous goods.

It is supposed to be some kind of car care products.

At 22:59, a decision is made to close E4 in both directions, whereupon traffic is diverted via Knivsta.

A decision is made at 00:29 that the truck is allowed to burn out.

The road is still closed early on Friday morning with significant traffic disruption.

The police are no longer on the scene.

The traffic situation is handled by the Trafikverket's TMA vehicle.

In connection with the fire, the truck driver is suspected of transporting hazardous goods, in order to be able to clarify whether he has followed the rules that apply to that type of goods.

There are no reports of injured persons in connection with the fire.
