Violent resistance in Ljunga
04:48 The police were alerted to an address in Ljunga, Norrköping. A woman was a guest in a home but could for unclear reasons not calm down and began throwing things around her. One of the objects was a birdcage with her own parrot.
The police took the woman into custody as she then violently resisted and was handcuffed both on her hands and feet. The parrot had no relatives or other friends that it could live with and therefore had to follow to the station and make the on-duty officer's company. He says that the parrot seems to be in good health, wants contact but is not physically sociable. It is also quiet.
The woman in her 30s is suspected of violent resistance, possession and use of narcotics. There may also be a report to the county administrative board about an animal in danger as they handle that type of case.
