30 January 18.38, Explosion, Västerås

Several patrols are ordered to Öster Mälarstrand in Västerås municipality due to a minor explosion in or in connection with a staircase in a multi-family house.

A loud bang has been heard and some form of damage has occurred in the building.

The area has been cordoned off and the police are on the scene to form an opinion about what happened.

At present, there are no reports of personal injuries.

The police would like the public's help with any observations of a person or persons seen leaving the scene in connection with the incident. Even observations made before the incident are of interest. Have you seen or heard anything, call the police on 114 14 or in case of urgent information or incident, call 112.
