
An 80-year-old woman has been subjected to a scam. Two more women at the same address have been subjected to attempts.
During the evening, we receive a report concerning an 80-year-old woman at an address in Bukärr. She initially receives an SMS about a car rental booking. The woman calls the phone number in the SMS to say that she has not booked any car rental. The man she talks to then says that she may have been "hacked" and that he will help her. The conversation shifts to an insurance issue. The man says that a person will come to collect jewelry for an insurance company. A person later shows up at the address and takes the jewelry. The police arrive at the scene and a report of fraud is filed.
In connection with the police being on the scene, it appears that two more women of the same age have been affected at the same address. They have also received SMS. It is unclear if the content is the same. However, it has not progressed to completed frauds. Two reports regarding attempts at fraud have been filed.
