The police regional command centre handled around 160 incidents concerning Östergötland County between 22:00 and 07:00.

23:55 – Aggravated assault, Linköping
An alarm was received from an address in central Linköping, where a violent fight was taking place. It is said to have started as a verbal dispute, which then escalated into a physical fight involving many people. Police arrived and soon gained control of several individuals who were reportedly involved. The exact course of events is somewhat unclear, but four men aged between 30 and 45 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. Police are using the camera surveillance centre to investigate further details of what happened. No one involved is believed to have been seriously injured in the fight. All four were remanded in custody by a prosecutor overnight. 

In addition, police handled numerous incidents involving fights and intoxication, as well as several calls concerning mental ill health. They also carried out many routine checks on their own initiative or in response to calls from the public.
