In connection with the control, a larger area in central Rättvik will be cordoned off. The cordonings are a security measure. The public is urged not to seek the location and to keep a distance from the cordoned-off area and follow the police's instructions.

Depending on the development, measures such as evacuation or confinement may become relevant.

Update 13.10: In connection with a search of a building in central Rättvik, a suspected dangerous object was found. An investigation has been initiated regarding preparation for public endangerment and gross breach of the law on flammable and explosive goods. The building where the object was found is evacuated.

Update 13.17: Residents in the area are urged not to go out onto their balconies until we give the green light.

**Update 13:56:**National bomb protection has been consulted and will assist us in the work. The cordonings are well in place until we can be completely sure that there is no danger to the public. The cordonings must be respected. The public is urged to prepare mentally for the fact that it may take a few hours before the cordonings are lifted.
