The police regional command center handled around 50 incidents concerning Jönköping County between 22:00 and 07:00. 

00:56 – Aggravated assault, Eksjö
According to reports, a man allegedly put a woman in a chokehold and then threw her down a staircase. This took place in a residential building in Eksjö Municipality. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of her injuries is currently unknown. Police attended to secure the crime scene and search for the perpetrator. Traces of what had happened were found in the stairwell, but no one was found inside the apartment in question. About an hour later, however, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. During the night, he was also detained by a prosecutor. 

In addition to this, police carried out other routine checks, either on their own initiative or following alerts from the public.
