Wednesday, March 11, at lunchtime, a police patrol conducted a check on a small truck with foreign registration plates parked at a rest stop along Highway 26 north of Smålandsstenar. In the cargo, a large quantity of items was found that could be suspected of coming from various thefts and break-ins.

After a short period of surveillance, two men arrived at the truck and were apprehended.

The two men are foreign citizens and were later detained by a prosecutor on the same day.

Police are now working to go through the stolen goods, which comprise several hundred items. It involves various tools, tires, garden machinery, saddles, etc., which are believed to have been taken from several different locations.

The apprehended are two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 20s.
