Police regional command center has handled between 22.00-07.00 a number of 50 cases related to Östergötland County.
Robbery, Norrköping: At 23.44 police are alerted to a nursing home in Navestad in Norrköping, due to a man seen trying to open doors inside the facility. When the police arrive at the scene, the man tries to run from the patrol, but fails to do so.
The man is apprehended, suspected of having entered at least two different rooms and taken valuables. There are also reports that he behaved violently. He is suspected of robbery and gross breach of peace. He is also suspected of attempting to commit gross violence against a public official.
Vandalism, Linköping: At 01.15 police are alerted to Storgatan in Linköping due to a conflict between a taxi driver and a customer, as the customer does not want to leave the car. According to initial reports, there is a threatening atmosphere between the parties. Police arrive at the scene and can confirm that no one is injured. The customer is intoxicated, and is taken into custody according to the Law on the Taking into Custody of Intoxicated Persons. The customer, a 20-year-old man, is also suspected of vandalism by having smashed a mirror on the taxi.
