Proactive work against theft from work vehicles.
Long-term parking often means that work machines and work vehicles are parked for a longer time and unattended. This attracts less careful people.
Expensive equipment such as GPS and various control panels are theft-prone. Similarly, various power tools and even fuel are also.
But there are measures that make it more difficult for possible thieves:
Empty the car yourself: If possible, do not store expensive tools or GPS equipment in the vehicle over the weekend.
Lighting and alarm: Park in well-lit areas and use alarms and motion-sensitive lighting.
Marking: Theft marking of equipment makes it harder to sell further.
Safe parking: Park work trucks with the rear door/slide door tightly against a wall or an obstacle to physically block break-ins.
