Think proactively around thefts of work tools.
Long-term parking often means that work machines and work vehicles are parked a bit longer and unattended. This attracts less careful people.
Expensive equipment such as GPS and various control panels are coveted by thieves. Similarly, various power tools and even fuel are.
But there are measures that make it more difficult for potential thieves:
Empty the car yourself: If possible, do not store expensive tools or GPS equipment in the vehicle over the weekend.
Lighting and alarm: Park in well-lit areas and use alarms and motion-sensitive lighting.
Marking: Theft marking of equipment makes it harder to sell further.
Safe parking: Park work cars with the rear door/slide door tightly against a wall or an obstacle to physically block break-ins.
