A witness contacted the police after seeing a man get out of a car and assault another man. He then got back into the car, which was being driven by another person, and drove away from the scene.

The police received a good description of the perpetrator and the car. When the police arrived, they met the assaulted man, who was awake and able to speak, but dazed and had visible injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. The extent of the injuries is unclear.

The investigative measures led to a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s being suspected of the crime. The pursuit led to the woman being arrested at 1:13 PM when she was stopped while driving the relevant car.

Shortly before 2:00 PM, the police were then able to arrest the man indoors at another location in Säffle.

After questioning the two suspects, the prosecutor will decide whether they should be detained or released during the continued investigation.
