09 August 08.12, Summary of the night, Västerbotten County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

01.50 Assault, Skellefteå:
Police patrol is ordered to a bar in central Skellefteå where there was some kind of brawl/fight involving two men. The patrol takes up a report and a counter-report regarding assault.

01.57 Assault, Umeå:
Police patrol is contacted by a security guard at an outdoor establishment that a man assaulted another man on a dance floor. The patrol takes up a report.

03.29 Drunk Driving, Åsele:
At a stop and control, a driver in Åsele blows positively in the police's sieve instrument and is to follow along for blood sampling. A report regarding drunk driving is drawn up and the driver's license is confiscated.

04.10 Fire, Skellefteå:
Alarm about a fire in three cars at a car dealership, Hammarängen. Also cars next to it are said to have been damaged. There are no reports of anyone being injured in connection with the fire.

Fire cause is unclear and the incident is being investigated as arson. The location has been cordoned off for technical examination. There is no suspect in the case.

Other:
Three people have been taken into custody for drunkenness.

Police have also carried out checks of people and vehicles that did not result in any suspicion of a crime.
