A 55-year-old man suspected of assault after driving his car into a 30-year-old man on a parking lot and then leaving the scene.
The man who was hit contacted the police who arrived at the scene. According to him, he had gotten into a heated exchange of words with the suspect on a parking lot outside a grocery store. The suspect then got into his car and drove off, as the plaintiff perceived it, at a low speed towards the plaintiff, who was hit on one leg. He got hurt in the leg but was not seriously injured and did not need acute medical care.
The plaintiff filmed parts of the course of events with his mobile phone, so it was not difficult for the police to identify the suspect, who is now suspected of assault or fleeing the scene of a traffic accident.
The suspect is not being held in custody. There are witnesses to the incident.
