We have received reports of people hearing loud bangs outside in the Varberga area.
There have been no reports of anyone being injured in connection with the incident. 
It is still unclear what caused the sounds, but we are actively working to gather more information. Patrols are on site in the area to investigate the incident and speak with people who may have made observations. 
The public is urged to follow the police's instructions on the scene and not to seek out the area out of curiosity. 

Update: Currently, work is continuing to clarify what happened. The bangs are believed to have been heard coming from Varberg Forest. 

Update 11.57: In connection with the alarm, some schools chose to be locked down according to existing routines. In consultation with the police, these have now been concluded. The work is still ongoing to locate where the bangs were heard from and what caused the noise.
