Moisture specialist / Moisture consultant
Would you like to investigate moisture problems, identify their causes and help customers find sustainable solutions?
We are now looking for a moisture specialist/moisture consultant to join our team. Our office is in Danderyd and the work area covers Stockholm and the surrounding area.
The role is suited to someone with a good understanding of building technology, experience of moisture problems and a preference for independent work involving meeting customers and solving real problems at properties.
About the role
As a moisture specialist, you will investigate, measure and assess moisture and indoor environment problems in houses, terraced houses, flats and other properties.
You will be responsible for identifying the cause of the problem, documenting your observations and preparing clear recommendations for appropriate measures.
Your duties
• Carry out moisture inspections and investigations • Take moisture and RH measurements in materials including wood and concrete • Inspect crawl spaces, lofts, basements, bathrooms and other risk structures • Investigate mould, microbial growth, odours, condensation and other moisture-related problems • Assess ventilation and indoor climate in connection with moisture problems • Analyse measurement results and identify possible causes of damage • Document inspections and prepare professional moisture reports • Recommend measures and propose solutions • Advise customers on remediation, dehumidification, ventilation and preventive moisture protection • Work with technicians and installers from the investigation through to completion of the measures
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, solution-oriented and self-reliant. You are confident in your technical assessments and also understand the importance of dealing with customers professionally and explaining things clearly.
We would like you to:
• Have relevant training and/or documented experience in moisture, building technology or damage investigations • Have good knowledge of building structures and moisture problems • Have experience of moisture measurement and damage investigations • Be able to work independently and take responsibility for your own cases • Be comfortable writing reports and recommendations for measures • Have a good command of spoken and written Swedish • Have a Category B driving licence (B-körkort)
Desirable: RBK authorisation, SBR training or other relevant training/certification in moisture, building technology or indoor environments.
