Stage Technician

Would you like to help develop one of Värnamo’s most exciting meeting places?
Gummifabriken is a meeting place for culture, academia and business in the heart of Värnamo. The building, where everything from bicycle tyres to rubber boots was once made, is now a venue filled with events, a cinema, a library, a restaurant, a campus, conference facilities and a business hotel.
We are now looking for a stage technician with experience and/or relevant training who would like to help us create the experiences of the future.
Duties
At Gummifabriken, we are looking for a new talent to join our team: a stage technician with a wide-ranging role, working alongside the stage manager to ensure that everything runs smoothly around events. At events, you are responsible for sound, lighting, AV and/or other technical equipment, as well as safety on and around the stages.
You plan, coordinate, set up and dismantle stage equipment such as lighting, sound and other stage technology, as well as other media technology used for various productions and as required by the organisation.
You work in a team with the stage manager, event host, property manager and cultural facilities assistant. This makes your work at Gummifabriken seamless, and you may need to support your colleagues with various tasks.
Evening and weekend work is common.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, action-oriented and proactive. We attach great importance to personal suitability and are looking for someone who is used to physical work, is organised, can handle heavy lifting and can remain calm in stressful situations. You are used to working both independently and as part of a team, and enjoy having a varied workload and working hours. You keep up to date with new technology and software.
You have documented training and/or experience working with stage technology, sound and lighting. Experience with media technology would also be an advantage.
