ZZ Top's drummer Frank Beard is taking a break from the band due to health reasons, writes Rolling Stone. It is not known what he has been afflicted with, but according to the band's spokesperson, he hopes for a quick recovery.

During his absence, the 75-year-old Beard will be replaced by drummer John Douglas.

ZZ Top broke through with the song "La Grange" in the early 1970s.
