Facebook founder has surpassed billionaires Jeff Bezos and Bernard Arnault and his fortune is now estimated to be over 206 billion dollars.

This means that Zuckerberg, 40, has increased his fortune the most among all billionaires so far this year, according to Bloomberg. It has grown by 78 billion dollars since the turn of the year.

Zuckerberg's assets consist mainly of shares in Facebook's and Instagram's parent company Meta, which has risen sharply on the stock exchange.

According to Bloomberg's calculations, Zuckerberg is 1.1 billion ahead of Amazon's Bezos but almost 50 billion behind Tesla's Elon Musk.

The value of Meta's shares has increased by 23 percent during the second quarter, an increase that is significantly higher than expected. On Thursday, the share was worth almost 583 dollars, a record high.
