Zimbabwe has decided to meet President Donald Trump halfway. The country will remove all tariffs on goods imported from the USA after Trump announced 18-percent tariffs against the African country. This was announced by the country's President Emmerson Mnangagwa on X.
Zimbabwe, with its large mineral resources, has very limited trade with the USA, with total trade between the two countries amounting to 111.6 million dollars in 2024.
At the same time, Vietnam has contacted the USA to request a 45-day reprieve regarding the tariffs affecting the country's exports. In Vietnam, several large American retail companies, such as the sports company Nike, have significant production.
