Veteran Mika Zibanejad is on his way to Olympic form. The 32-year-old New York Rangers star scored twice in 45 seconds as Boston was defeated on the road 6-2.

Zibanejad scored twice on the power play as the Rangers went from 2–0 to 4–0 in the second period.

First he shot 3–0 from a bad angle with a direct shot in game five against three and then he added 4–0 just 38 seconds later on a shot that looked like it was meant to be a pass.

After a dull start to the season, the Swedish forward has now scored six points, two goals and four assists, in the last five games.

In total, he has nine goals and nine assists in 26 games.

Artemi Panarin assisted on both of Zibanejad's goals and scored four points, one goal and three assists.

Elias Lindholm was noted for assists on both of Boston's goals.
