Mika Zibanejad was behind Rangers' winning goal and was credited with another assist when the team beat Boston at home with 3–2.
The meeting had a goalless start and it wasn't until over six minutes into the middle act that Artemi Panarin initiated the goal scoring after an assist from Zibanejad. The visitors did, however, catch up and before the period was over, they had both equalized and, thanks to a direct hit from Elias Lindholm, taken the lead.
In the end, it was the home team that drew the longest straw. After equalizing, Zibanejad managed to get the puck in a power play, where he coolly passed it to Chris Kreider, who nailed the final result.
Rangers' 31-year-old Swede has made five points in the last three matches, which bodes well for him taking his place in Tre Kronor in the Four Nations, which takes place in Montreal and Boston on February 13–21.
