Zelmerlöw hits back at criticism: Narrow-minded

It became a disappointing second place for favorite-tipped Måns Zelmerlöw in the Melodifestivalen, and the disappointment did not wait to make itself known.

After Saturday's final, Måns Zelmerlöw left the "green room" in tears and later expressed his great disappointment in interviews after Kaj's surprise win with "Bara bada bastu".

Since then, several participants, such as Erik Segerstedt and John Lundvik, have criticized Kaj's win and believe that the competition has changed and that "crazy" songs have taken over from the more serious contributions.

Zelmerlöw has received a lot of criticism for his strong reactions, but hits back at the criticism on Monday morning in a post on Instagram, which he begins with "Dear narrow-minded haters":

"This unfiltered anger from you. This bizarre overreaction. To think it's okay to hate someone in comments because he wanted to win a competition that we all love and because I, above all, wished to represent Sweden again in ESC? HOW can it be wrong?"

He also takes the opportunity to congratulate Kaj on his win and thank everyone who supported him:

"Once again. A HUGE congratulations to KAJ! I love Kevin, Axel, and Jakob! And to all of you who don't hate - a phenomenally big thank you for all the votes and all the support during this journey!"
