“I just spoke with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico,” Zelenskyy writes on X.
“It was important to hear that Slovakia supports Ukraine's membership in the European Union and is ready to share its experience of accession.”
The president states that he has invited Fico to visit Kyiv and that Zelenskyy has also received an invitation to visit Bratislava.
“We also discussed the possibility of a personal meeting in the near future,” he writes.
Fico is often described as pro-Russia, and Slovakia and Hungary are the only EU countries that have exemptions from the Union's import ban on Russian oil.
