CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited Russia earlier this week under high-profile circumstances.
“There were a number of meetings there,” Zelenskyy writes without going into the content or who Ratcliffe met.
"I thank you for the information and for the necessary tone in the talks with Russia," he continues, adding that the United States has a "realistic vision" of what needs to be done to stop Russia.
Several American media outlets have reported, citing sources, that one purpose of the trip was to warn Russia against attacking or carrying out a provocation against a NATO country. The Iran war and the Strait of Hormuz were also reportedly discussed.
