The meeting between Ukraine, Russia and the United States will be held on February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi, according to Zelenskyy. According to previous reports, the meeting was to have started on Sunday.
Zelenskyy writes that February will be a period of "intensive foreign policy activity" for Ukraine, and that leaders from several countries stand behind the country.
He expects the United States to take an equally active role, especially when it comes to de-escalation measures.
"Much depends on what the United States can achieve, so that people can trust both the process and the results," he writes.
The announcement comes after talks between Russian and American envoys over the weekend in Miami. During the fall and winter, it has been reported that the United States is close to brokering a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, it was emphasized that only one point remained. However, it is believed to be the difficult "territorial issue" where Russia has demanded control of the entire Donbas region in eastern Ukraine - and the US has conditioned its support and security guarantees for Ukraine on Kyiv agreeing to this.
