The meeting took place the day after Erdogan spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Erdogan pointed to the importance of shipping on the Black Sea and "the crucial importance of security of energy supplies."

Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to assist Turkey with "expertise, technology and experience" in security cooperation, according to the Kyiv Independent.

The two also spoke about efforts to end the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.

The meeting was held in the wake of Moscow's accusations that Ukraine is attacking a gas pipeline between Russia and Turkey that supplies several European countries with gas.
