"I am so grateful. This is a very important air defence package and it is crucial," Zelensky said after his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in Calgary, Canada.
The package includes 350 million Canadian dollars, equivalent to just over SEK 2.4 billion, for air defence and 450 million Canadian dollars in loan guarantees for the reconstruction of energy infrastructure and power supply to hospitals.
"We will provide further support," Carney says.
Ukraine's need for more and better air defence is urgent, as more and more Russian ballistic missiles are reaching their targets in attacks on Ukrainian cities.
