The summit is to be held on Thursday, in a "hybrid format", meaning with some participants on site and some digitally, announces the French presidency according to media.
This takes place within the framework of the "coalition of the willing", where a number of countries that want to support Ukraine against Russia's war of aggression are involved. Sweden has also often been involved in these negotiations, but it is not clear if that is the case this time.
According to sources for international media, Germany's Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will participate.
A source tells AFP that the meeting is now being planned, and that US President Donald Trump "so far is not expected to attend".
Among the main topics mentioned are security guarantees for Ukraine and "promoting diplomacy, since the Russians are wriggling out again", says the source - referring to the fact that President Vladimir Putin has signaled that he is not currently willing to meet Zelenskyj to talk about peace.
von der Leyen said over the weekend to The Financial Times that there are already "pretty detailed plans" for what a European support force with peacekeepers in Ukraine would look like.
