Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj writes on X that he is grateful to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, the Swedish government, and the Swedish people for the support package that the government and the Sweden Democrats presented on Thursday.
The support, worth 13.5 billion kronor, is the largest so far.
"We really appreciate that this military support meets the Ukrainian army's acute needs and significantly contributes to strengthening our defense capabilities", writes Zelenskyj.
Previously, Sweden has mainly donated war materials from the Defense Forces' stockpile. Now, the Swedish defense industry will produce war materials that will be delivered directly to Ukraine.
