Zelenskyy says 225,000 Russian soldiers killed or wounded this year, North Korea may send 30,000 troops to Russia

Zelenskyy writes on X that intelligence reports allege Russia is carrying out a massive mobilisation this fall.

So far this year, 221,000 people have enlisted in the Russian military, Zelenskyy writes.

“During the same period (seven months), Russian casualties have reached nearly 225,500, of which 131,000 have died.”

The president also says that North Korea may send around 30,000 soldiers to the Russian army and that "preparations are underway in the Russian Voronezh region to receive them."

North Korea is also expected to send missile launchers to Russia.
