Russia has fired 40 cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, as well as around 580 drones at Ukraine, writes Volodymyr Zelenskyj on X. The Ukrainian president describes it as a "massive attack".

Dozens of people are reported to have been injured and at least three people have been killed. According to Zelenskyj, the attacks have been directed at several regions, including the region around the capital Kyiv.

The air alarm has been heard throughout the country during the night.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one person has been killed and 13 have been injured, of which one is seriously injured, says Governor Serhij Lysak. Russian missiles and drones are also said to have damaged residential buildings and caused fires.

"The enemy targeted our infrastructure, residential areas and civilian enterprises", writes Zelenskyj.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that they "detected and destroyed" 149 Ukrainian drones during the night. Russia also describes the attack as "massive", which targeted the border region of Rostov and the adjacent region of Volgograd.
