Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Qatar. He writes himself on social media.
"Qatar is helping Ukraine to recover children kidnapped by Russia. We will discuss these efforts, which are ongoing," he writes among other things.
During his short visit, Zelensky will meet Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and also discuss the upcoming peace conference on the Ukraine war, which Switzerland will host later in June, a conference Qatar, according to Zelensky, has helped to organize.
Zelensky is coming from Asia, where he has visited Singapore and the Philippines. He is expected to attend Thursday's 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces landed in Normandy, France, and hold a meeting with US President Joe Biden.
The two presidents will meet again under the G7 meeting in Italy, which is taking place from June 13-15.
