The choice of gift to the golf-interested American president was confirmed by Kyiv the day after the summit.
The golf club's previous owner, Konstjantin Kartavtsev, lost one of his legs during the first months of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine – and golf became a part of his rehabilitation, Zelenskyj explained.
As a thank you, Trump played in a video where he thanked the soldier: "I have just studied your swing. I know a lot about golf and your swing is fantastic".
Trump, in turn, gave Zelenskyj symbolic keys to the White House, according to Ukraine's presidential office.
