Russian air raids were carried out against Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih, where a total of over ten civilians were killed. The Russian air attacks have intensified during the winter months, with vulnerable Ukrainian civilians being targeted.

According to regional authorities, nine people were killed in Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine. At least two people were killed in Zelensky's hometown of Kryvyi Rih in the central part of the country. The bombing raids on Kryvyi Rih targeted the city's central areas.

"Thousands of similar attacks that Russia has carried out during this war clearly show that Putin does not deserve real peace", Zelensky wrote on the social media platform Telegram.

He continued to emphasize that Ukraine's only defense is struggle:

"And only through struggle can real peace be created."

Zaporizhzhia's governor Ivan Fedorov said that a garage and a gas station caught fire during the air raid, and that about 20 people were injured in the attack.

The damage in Kryvyi Rih was also extensive, as a three-story building was completely destroyed. At least 16 civilians, including a child, were injured in the attack.
