Three people have been killed and many have been injured in Russian attacks on southern and eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to official reports. Two of them were killed in Russian bombings in the Donetsk region, says the Ukrainian governor Vadym Filasjkin on the messaging service Telegram.
"In just 24 hours, the Russians have attacked settlements in the Donetsk region nine times. 358 people, including 49 children, have been evacuated from the front line", he writes.
In the Kherson region, one person has been killed and several have been injured, says Governor Oleg Synegubov.
The Ukrainian President praises the next US President Donald Trump in a post on X after the two met in Paris on Saturday. Zelensky says he is "deeply grateful" for Trump's stance and continues:
"I told President Trump that he is the only one Putin fears, possibly together with China".
