Zara Larsson's "Midnight Sun" became the most streamed new Swedish song on Spotify abroad in 2025. Spotify's music manager in the Nordics, Emma Vikström, described 2025 as the year Zara Larsson "took over the world".
In second place was "Wait So Long (Why Do I Have To)" by Swedish House Mafia, and in third was "Runaway (U & I)" by Galantis and Ian Asher.
Robyn's song "Dopamine" reached number 13 on the chart for songs released in the second half of the year. The single was released on November 13 and was her first in seven years.
