Larsson was nominated in five categories at the gala, both individually and in collaboration. That gave the 28-year-old two awards.
"Midnight Sun" took home the award for breakthrough album of the year, and "Stateside", which Larsson made together with Pink Panther, was chosen as collaboration of the year.
However, the new hit "Lush Life" was not chosen as the viral song of the year, and she missed out on the award for breakthrough of the year in the pop category. "Stateside" was defeated in the category of summer song of the year by BTS and their song "Swim", the group's comeback single after the members' military service in South Korea.
BTS was one of the winners of the gala with three statuettes, including in the major category of artist of the year. Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Katseye, Sabrina Carpenter and Sombr also took home three awards each.
The award for song of the year went to “Golden” by Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the voices behind the fictional band Huntr/X in the animated series “K-Pop: Demon Hunters”.
