Among those who have been awarded the Platinum Guitar are artists and songwriters such as Yung Lean, Salem Al Fakir, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge and Veronica Maggio.
Zara Larsson received the award in connection with her acclaimed gig at Way Out West in Gothenburg this weekend.
"Her music combines strong pop melodies, a personal voice and a clear artistic direction - and inspires a new generation to write, create and find their own expression," says Anton Waltari Tesch at STIM in a press release.
Zara Larsson is "honored and extremely proud" to receive the award "and to take her place next to all the fantastic previous recipients."
