The artist Yukimi is one of six scholarship holders who are awarded the Stena Foundation's cultural scholarship.

The scholarship holders receive 300,000 kronor each from Sten A Olsson's foundation for research and culture, to be able to develop their artistry. Yukimi, singer in the electronic band Little Dragon, says she is grateful.

"To receive Stenastiftelsen's cultural scholarship means that someone sees what I do and encourages it. To have space to express myself even more feels very nice", she says in a press release.

In addition to Yukimi, the scholarship goes to Phax Ahamada, Trinidad Carrillo, Olle Norås, Malte Persson and Julia Sporsén.

Sten A Olsson's foundation for research and culture was founded in 1996 when shipowner Sten A Olsson turned 80. The purpose is to provide support to cultural and research activities in western Sweden and Gothenburg.
