Google-owned Youtube has agreed to a settlement of 24.5 million dollars, approximately 231 million kronor, with US President Donald Trump.

The settlement follows the president's lawsuit of the social media platform after his account was closed in connection with the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The agreement does not mean any admission of liability from Google's side and the company has declined to comment on the settlement.

Youtube thus becomes the latest in a line of tech companies that have agreed to similar settlements, previously among others Meta-owned Facebook and X have done the same thing.
