A woman in her 20s was seriously injured when she was stabbed repeatedly by a man of the same age shortly after midnight on Thursday in Lysekil.
We arrested the man without drama in connection to the scene and he is suspected of attempted murder, says Morten Gunneng, duty officer at police region West.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance but it is unclear how seriously injured she is.
The alarm about the stabbing, which took place outdoors, came at 00.26 and the area is cordoned off pending a technical investigation.
The man is suspected, in addition to attempted murder, also of obstruction of justice.
They have some kind of history with each other but it is unclear in what way, says Morten Gunneng.
