Young Opera gets a permanent stage at the Museum of Performing Arts, while the Opera House in Stockholm is being renovated. It will also be the starting shot for a collaboration with the aim of broadening access to performing arts for children and young people.
"We look forward to also finding collaborations linked not only to our performance activities but also to our large educational activities", says Ellen Lamm, artistic director of Young Opera in a press release.
The renovation of the Opera House takes place starting in 2027 and five years onwards. Young Opera moves to the national Museum of Performing Arts at the beginning of 2027.
